Load Up™ Dog Car Harness

I have a crate for certain occasions to help keep my pup safe, but when it’s a quicker trip nothing beats this harness for the balance of safety and comfort.

Product is good but the dog needs a little bit of time to get used to it.

The harness is easy to get on/off once you get all your adjustments made for a proper fitting. My golden retriever can easily sit or lay with the harness on and I feel she is much safer in this verses something that would attach to a collar and could cause whiplash or other severe injuries.

My previous Ruffwear purchases have all held up over the years. Durable, colors stay true, rugged yet professional looking. This new car harness for my pup did not disappoint. It’s a beautiful steel blue color. The straps and buckles are all top quality Ruffwear. The chest plate and back cover are slightly padded for comfort. Take your time getting it adjusted exactly to your dog and you’ll be good to go. My boy has never been safer!

I was struggling to get my 4 month old puppy comfortable riding in the car. She was fine on someone’s lap but at 35 lbs. that wasn’t working and wasn’t safe. I tried a crate in the car—she’s fine with crates in the house—but she hated it. Fingers crossed I put the harness on her (a 2 person job but lots of treats later…) put her sleeping pad and giant teddy in the backseat, buckled her in, and went down the road for a test drive. She was so relaxed, no whining, just looking around then she settled down and was absolutely fine! Whew!! I have to buy the next size up as she won’t fit into the Small size for long. The straps and buckles seem a little confusing at first but the online video was really helpful. I’m really SO relieved that this harness is so comfortable for my dog.
